Limbaugh Out As Potential NFL Owner

This just in.....St Louis Blues owner Dave Checketts has announced that Rush Limbaugh will not be part of the group that is trying to by the St. Louis Rams, according to Ed Schultz on MSNBC's The Ed Show.

In a related matter, Robert Greenwald's BRAVE NEW FILMS has put together this video in opposition to Limbaugh's ownership bid.

Update- From October 15th, here's the latest on the story from ESPN.com, with a video report from Adam Schefter and more from ESPN and the Associated press.

Included is the following quote from Rush Limbaugh....

"'This is not about the NFL, it's not about the St. Louis Rams, it's not about me," Limbaugh said. "This is about the ongoing effort by the left in this country, wherever you find them, in the media, the Democrat Party, or wherever, to destroy conservatism, to prevent the mainstreaming of anyone who is prominent as a conservative.

"'Therefore, this is about the future of the United States of America and what kind of country we're going to have.'"

Here's a note to Mr. Limbaugh. The majority of the owners of the NFL are conservative Republicans. Unlike you, they are not divisive wingnuts. Don't blame you're being dropped from the ownership group on the left, or the "Democrat" Party, or the media, or any agenda to destroy conservatism. You chose to be a talk show host specializing in "that thing you do" to the delight of the "Dittoheads".

As was once said in a famous Academy Award winning film....it is the business you have chosen. Stop turning yourself into the victim. What the Colt's Jim Irsay said about your inclusion in the Checketts led ownership group was probably the tip of the ice berg. Just a few weeks ago you said that maybe school buses should be segregated again....but no, you aren't a racist, so you say.

You reap what you sow. Mr. Limbaugh. Its not about anyone else. For once in your life, deal with it.
