They were unknowns at the time of Woodstock, and were added to the lineup as a favor to mentor Bill Graham by the concert organizers. Arguably, they became the biggest new stars to emerge from Woodstock, and rode a wave of success over the next few years.
Carlos Santana still leads the current lineup of Santana, touring and innovating forty plus years after getting together.
Here, the classic from Woodstock, SOUL SACRIFICE....its still makes my jaw drop when I see this, all these years later. They were (and still are) amazing.
