Woodstock + 40 Years; Canned Heat

Most people remember the British Blues boom of the late 1960's, but many have forgotten that in the United States there was an underground movement of young musicians who embraced the blues as well. Some of the most popular of those bands were The Electric Flag, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, and Canned Heat.

Still together and led by longtime members Fito de la Parra, Larry Taylor, and Harvey Mandel, the Woodstock lineup of Canned Heat was led by singer Bob "The Bear" Hite and slide guitarist Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson. Henry Vestine was the other guitarist in the band- all three of these legends of Woodstock are deceased.

Here they are with WOODSTOCK BOOGIE.
